Whinlatter Mountain Biking

At the start of half term I enjoyed mountain biking with my Uncle and Auntie at Whinlatter forest.

Half term skating

We had three trips to skate parks during half term. Morcambe, Barrow and Dartford. Trying to get the hang of some tricks, Bobby and Alfie showed us how to drop in.

Running with Ron Hill

It was my next door neighbour's  (Rocket Rod) birthday, we were invited to go and have a run with his friend Ron Hill.  I wore my Ron Hill shorts.

Toms Birthday Triathlon

My brother had a triathlon for his Birthday party. The triathlon was at Rydal. It wasn't very good weather but we had fun.

It was a Handicap race and Tom won, well done Tom.

Achmelvic Beach

To break things up here's another post from my summer holiday in the North West of Scotland. We had a great day at Achmelvic beach, running on the beach, swimming in the sea and climbing on the rocks.

First Triathlon

I started Kendal triathlon club in the summer. Last weekend I competed in my first Triathlon.  Bobby, Alfie and myself took part in the race which was held in Salt Ayre near Lancaster.  The swim was 150m in a pool, 2km on a cycle circuit and 1200m on a running track. I loved the event because I had a chance to race my friend Alfie, we were having a good competition between us.

I finished in 17th Place and Alfie was 18th out of 26, in a time of  21mins 59 secs.  My strongest discipline was the run.  I am looking forward to doing another triathlon soon.

Ardmair Evenings

Evening sunshine on the boulders at Ardmair
Ardmair beach was only 5 minutes away from where we were staying. It has some good bouldering and the best skimming stones in the world. We enjoyed lots of evenings having skimming competitions.
Ardmair Stone Skimming competition with our friends.
After watching the Olympics we were doing lots of events and stone skimming was one of the events we decided to have in our own version of the Olympics. Other events included paper aeroplane flying, swimming, table tennis, orienteering and running to the light house.

Holidays in North West Scotland

Rhue

Hi , I've just come back from a brilliant holiday in the NW of Scotland. We stayed just north of Ullapool on the end of the Rhue peninsular. Rhue has a great view out over the Summer Isles. Evenings can be spent watching sunsets out over the sea. It's a great spot for, playing on the beach, doing beach art, photographing the sunset, bouldering, coasteering , fishing and watching the wildlife.
